 SFL: A Sustainable Forest License or SFL is a licence, renewable up to 20 years, to harvest forest resources in a management unit. The licensee is required to carry out the planning, renewal and maintenance activities necessary to provide for the sustainability of the Crown forest covered by the licence. The licence will be reviewed every five years to make sure the licensee has complied with terms and conditions. |
