Forests Ontario is dedicated to making Ontario’s forests greener. Their ambitious tree planting initiatives, extensive education programs, and decades of community outreach have helped plant millions of trees in the province each year—and it’s through these efforts that they're bringing their vision for healthier forests to a new generation of stewards, partners, teachers, and donors.

Forest Gene Conservation Association
The Forest Gene Conservation Association (FGCA) formed in 1994 and since 1997 has been a non profit, genetic resource management corporation, with individual and group members who are involved in southcentral Ontario forest conservation and management.

Georgian Bay Biosphere Reserve
Established in 1998, the Georgian Bay Biosphere Reserve Inc. is a non-profit community organization comprised of volunteers with a common purpose. At GBBR Inc. they are guided by the core values of a shared “Georgian Bay Feeling” and Integrity, Respect, Innovation, Knowledge, and Cooperation.

Muskoka Watershed Council
Muskoka Watershed Council was founded by The District Municipality of Muskoka and the Muskoka Heritage Foundation in October of 2001. MWC is not a regulatory or enforcement agency. Instead, it provides information to decision-makers, managers and the general public on ways to protect and restore the resources of our watersheds.

The Ministry of Natural Resources and Forestry (MNRF) is responsible for managing Ontario’s natural resources in accordance with the statutes that it administers. As the province’s lead conservation agency, MNRF is steward of Ontario’s provincial parks, natural heritage areas, forests, fisheries, wildlife, mineral aggregates, fuel minerals, Crown lands and waters.

Their staff bring extensive experience and practical knowledge in forestry, planning, and in geographic information systems (GIS).
